Do you miss her? Me too. It has been almost a year since Barbara disappeared.
Here are some of her magnificent creations, which I believe are now widely circulated.
But what about her more recent portfolios that few people possess? They are wonderful, and I would find it a shame if her art remained unknown. I have them all, something like 250 pictures, yet I still feel they are not truly mine. Share them? Sell them for charity? I always corresponded with Barbara; I cannot reach her family. My opinion remains not to share them.
However, there are two pictures that I may be the only person in the world to have. We used to exchange reflections on our respective creations, and she showed me two new works that were supposed to be in the new set... which never appeared. It might be a shame if these two pictures were never known. Should I share them one day with the visitors of this page? Or would that be disrespectful to Barbara's work?
What is your opinion?
I would say share them but I'm biased.

ReplyDeleteSur cette nouvelle série d'images Barbara a bien résumé la situation, sur celles où l'on aperçoit les pissous en tout cas. car il faut bien l'admettre, tous ces grands garçons soumis tardivement à l'autorité des mamans n'ont que des petites virgules de bébés entre les jambes et de fait les bienveillantes mamans les considèrent toujours comme leurs petits bébés dont il faut s'occuper.
Le cas le plus malheureux semble être celui qui tout dur semble faire des avances à la doctoresse dans l'espoir de connaître sa première fois mais je suis certain qu'elle est déjà depuis longtemps en ménage avec un homme qui a tout ce qu'il faut et qu'elle ne sera pas intéressée car une fois passé un certain âge c'est foutu.
Ce ne sont pas de nouvelles images (malheureusement), elles sont juste là pour illustrer la question que je pose.

ReplyDeleteI understand this is a very big moral choice, but if Barb isn't around anymore, how can the world truly discover her wonderful creations ? They would just be lost in time, which would be a shame. But before doing so yo must be sure all options to contact Barbara have been tried.
I also wonder if you have the name of the more ancient pictures ?
Yes, I plan to wait a bit before releasing never seen pictures. Actually, this post is also a call to see if someone related to Barbara shows up.
DeleteIt seems the most ancient pictures from Barbara have no names indeed. It's a pity because the name says a lot about the context. She told me once that she considered adding text on a few of her pictures, because she loved a few of mine that had the right words.

Probablement a-t-il fait des propositions choquantes aux filles que l'on peut voir derrière la fenêtre et qu'elles se sont empressé de rapporter à leurs mamans et le voilà puni comme un petit qui ne sait pas bien se conduire.
Quelle gêne pour cette maman dont on comprend parfaitement la colère.

ReplyDeleteSecondly, if I remember correctly, Barb had a vanilla job in the publishing industry. So, if it's possible to keep her art sets for sale, and contact someone in her family to receive the money as "coming from selling some of her publications I was entrusted with" without disclosing their nature, then that may be considered as a third option as well.

Delete2) I think I've found the website, but it's down "404" now. I don't know how to contact her family, and of course I don't want to contact members who don't know about this form of devious art, if she didn't told them she had her reasons. And it will be difficult to hide what it is about.
I'm pretty sure her husband knew about it (she told me so anyway), I just hope he'll see this post and will write to me.
