'Ten Evergreen Street': I love how the summary for this episode in the TV listings makes the business of Debbie's discovery of Luke's shameful behaviour in the shower but one of three plot strands, the other two being typical of a suburban American middle-class serial drama - and typically inane. This has the pleasing effect of normalising the shower incident and its consequences. I imagine the aftermath going beyond the evening 'discussion' mentioned in the listings, to include the superbly matriarchal Debbie placing Luke over her lap for a soundly smacked bottom and, perhaps, choosing one of the several bottled bathroom lotion products, as seen in the image, to apply vigorously to the offending appendage to calm him down. - Tercy Latt
