Hourrah! This week-end I've found a big virtual shoebox of hospital archive HQ pictures. So expect more about these moments, the medical visits at school, enemas like in the picture below...

I particularly like the way he is placed in the scene and the fact that she has him totally undressed for the injection. One can only imagine the exam he probably had to endure at the hands of the attractive doctor.

DeleteThese pictures really bring me back to my teenage years, when mom always had me see a female pediatrician, and was always there in the exam room for every embarrassing moment of the examination. This was back in the 1960's. The nurse who brought us to the exam room, always had me strip down to my underpants before taking me out into the hall to weigh me and measure my height. Then it was back into the exam room with mom, to wait for the doctor.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it wasn't long after the doctor came in that my underpants were down and the most personal parts of the exam took place, under the scrutiny of my mother.
I remember trembling and blushing bright red as the embarrassing examination ran its course. Thank you, Alex, for so vividly depicting that embarrassing scene!

Pour certaines mamans, rien de plus normal que de voir leur fils dans le plus simple appareil, surtout dépourvu de poil dans ce cas là.
